About Jano Lehocký

Starting in 2014 I have held several roles that have offered me the opportunity to analyze, transform and report on large sets of data. Starting my journey as a Business Process Specialist, I worked with a project team to test and validate SAP applications that supported new business processes as part of a company wide initiative. Working with large sets of raw test data as well as summarizing results for concise and accurate updates was key to success in this role. My next roles became increasingly more focused around reporting and data manipulation 

As HR Process & Systems Analyst, I needed to effectively tell the story of adoption as well as provide evidence of value that the new business processes I had helped create were bringing to the company. To accomplish this I maintained excel based visualizations and delivered powerpoint decks on a regular cadence to stakeholders in HR Operations. 

In my next two roles as Workforce Analyst & Analyst Workforce Planning & Org Management, my ability to partner with my clients and extract clearly defined business requirements and then produce insightful and actionable reporting from raw SAP HR data was my favourite part of the role. Two of my colleagues noticed my enjoyment of reporting and digging into the details as well as my ability to work collaboratively and suggested that I join the HR Reporting & Analytics team. 

In my current role, I furthered expertise as I learned how to use Microsoft Power BI and Excel Power Query in addition to completing the Google Analytics Course. Workday was launched with all modules at once in April of 2022 after which I became skilled at delivering complex reporting solutions that blended SAP data with Workday data. My aptitude for learning new technologies was leveraged as I continued to advance my skills in Workday and brought along my HR Operations and business clients, all the while solving reporting needs by finding and modifying existing reports or creating new reports. My impact on the business grew as I was able to communicate and help my clients through the change curve, imparting my knowledge and excitement about all the new possibilities I discovered in my own learning journey. 

In January of 2025 I completed my goal of obtaining my HCM Pro Workday Reporting Certification.  

Currently my efforts center around increasing my knowledge of workday configuration and how this impacts reporting, improving the performance of existing reporting, as well as continuing to create laser focused reporting solutions that keep data inside of workday and leverage the self-serve model. Highlights of my current work underway are a dashboard for our Talent team to understand development items progress across different populations, a discovery board to understand if obligations to certain obligations to first nations communities are being met, and a new and more efficient way for payroll to complete prior period audit cycles in record time!
