The Challenge: The client’s focus was on providing an equitable and inclusive workplace, increasing women’s representation across the workforce, and continuing to advance Indigenous workforce representation. A reporting solution with the ability to leverage quantitative metrics enables the organization to focus on key objectives and track progress against the I&D strategy and long-term goals was requested.

The Challenge: Leaders needed data about the candidates they had submitted to succession pools they were responsible for in addition to oversight metrics for all succession pools that the leader was responsible for. HR professionals needed a tool to be able to oversee the entire succession cycle and ensure that the pools were being populated with appropriate candidates.
External Vendor Reporting

The Challenge: The client was responsible for delivering specifically formatted reports to two insurance coverage vendors. Each vendor had specific formatting needs. The client wanted to reduce the amount of time it took to prepare these reports for delivery to the vendors.
Statistics Canada Reporting
The Challenge: Statistics Canada mandated the Suncor to transmit specifically formatted and summarized information on a quarterly cadence about the company’s headcount and recruiting activity. The client did not want to spend hours formatting the data for every submission. (neither did our reporting team)
Compensation Compression
The Challenge: The compensation team at Suncor needed to be able to compare and analyze the total pay difference between supervisors and front line staff at one of the operating sites.

I can't overemphasize how much we appreciated his help and how crucial he was in the success of the work. What made Jano so effective is that he spent the time to dig into all the program documentation to fully grasp the relevant context that was important to configure the tools in Workday. He also asked detailed questions and ensured he had all the information he needed. One of things I appreciated most about Jano is that if he didn't immediately know if something was possible, he would investigate thoroughly and make sure we were aware of all the options. I was always completely confident that if there was a way, Jano would find it. Then Jano would proceed with designing something for us to look at and test. He was great at following up and providing updates, we never felt like any of his commitments were forgotten or dropped. In fact, Jano was extremely disciplined when it came to contracting the prioritization of work. He always checked with us and never assumed, although he had a very accurate sense for which of the tasks were most urgent.

Jano built a complex reporting solution for my team to resolve an external reporting gap. He supported this work with a knowledge article to promote sustainment and met with me several times to ensure the process was flowing as expected. Jano is extremely patient and demonstrates very effective coaching skills. I always leave meetings with Jano knowing something I didn't before, better able to connect to data, and with a stronger understanding of the "why."
